New research suggests that antioxidants can help rejuvenate blood vessels, lowering the risk for cardiovascular disease, which is the United States of America’s number one killer.

6-Week Clinical Trial Testing Blood Vessel Health

Colorado University conducted a six-week clinical trial of men between the ages of 60 and 80 years old and divided the group in half.

One of the groups took placebos and the other half took 20 mg of antioxidants per day, including the naturally occurring antioxidant coenzyme Q 10, which has been proven through research to directly improve* the mitochondria within the cells. The purpose of the study was to examine the arteries in reference to blood flow.
